I am a gay male therapist in Oakland who specializes in relationship counseling, therapy for work burnout, LGBTQ+ therapy, and trauma therapy. I can help with a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Stressed out by your relationship, job, or life? Feeling alone, not good enough, or stuck in a frustrating cycle? Are your usual go-to distractions, such as TV, movies, and social media, no longer providing the relief they once did? Despite telling yourself it’s time for change and making efforts to do so, maybe even including previous therapy, do you still find your life unchanged? I specialize in supporting people just like you: individuals who are ready for lasting change and motivated for a deep dive in therapy.
With me, you will be in safe and capable hands. I specialize in teaching and showing people how to notice, understand, and use their feelings to make their lives better. I have a lot of training and experience in this specialty. It’s called Internal Family Systems (IFS). I even help other therapists learn IFS.

I am a white, able bodied, upper middle class, neurotypical, gay cis male. I am aware that if you are of different identities to my own (e.g. BIPOC, transgender or nonbinary, neurodiverse) that may bring up internal conflict about whether or not I can be a safe person to turn to or if I can adequately understand your experiences. I welcome having a conversation about this in our initial communications and/or our therapy sessions. And, should you decide to have this conversation with me, I pledge to be open, receptive, engaged, and compassionate.
